Residents and visitors alike can take part in a real and virtual Artists Guild, making their
personal journey through the rich interconnectivity of the arts. Visitors can imagine our town as
a ‘school without walls’ where individuals can build a unique bundle of art projects—either
actively or passively.
For a town of 750 inhabitants, New Harmony has an extraordinary array of historic buildings,
landscapes and initiatives in which people can practice every kind of art making. In addition are
art making studios with regular classes and residencies. Located on the Wabash River, it is a
short distance to engage in the raw power of naturalistic landscapes—filled with flora & fauna.
There is a rich variety of long- and short-term accommodations to fit every budget, from the
town’s campsites, Airbnb’s, bespoke B&Bs and a nice hotel, along with a variety of eateries.
